Zinc sulfide has a high transmittance in the ultraviolet and visible regions, with a refractive index of 2.35 and a transmittance of more than 90% in the wavelength range from 400 nm to 700 nm. In addition, zinc sulphide has good thermal stability and mechanical properties and can be used at higher temperatures and pressures. In the infrared band, zinc sulfide has excellent optical uniformity and multi-band transmittance performance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance and good chemical stability. Multi-spectral CVD zinc sulfide has high transmittance in the wavelength range of 600nm to 10 microns, and is a material with good refractive index uniformity and consistency for infrared optics.
